(2018) Literature journals in the war of resistance against Japanese aggression in China (1931-1938), Dordrecht, Springer.
Nightingale, one of the most important publications of the League of Left-Wing Writers that was founded on March 5, 1936, played an integral role in the history of the League of Left-Wing Writers and the history of modern Chinese literature. Different from Jie Xi, Nightingale was not an official publication of a party or group but a literary magazine published under the general editorship of Fang Zhizhong. Although it had a background connection to the League of Left-Wing Writers and was at its disposal in the entire situation, it still enjoyed certain independence in editing and publishing.
