Life sciences in space

Heinz Oser

pp. 19-24

Life Sciences Research in space starts on Earth. Life on our planet has developed over many millions of years under favourable conditions, notably the atmospheric gases composition, pressure, temperature, radiation and under the constant pull of earth's gravity. Amongst these physical factors, also the force of gravity has shaped life on Earth.
