deny that ellipsis exists at all (WAGNER & PINCHON) while the advocates postulate its existence (the authors of the other three grammars). For the advocates, ellipsis is defined at two levels -form and meaning -and considered from threepoints of view -syntax, semantics and the relation to the speaker.
