Conclusion

Joshua Spier

pp. 105-120

This concluding chapter discusses renewed understandings emerging from the analysis of university teachers' experiential stories presented in this book, and their implications for higher education practice. Spier considers directions for further ontological-phenomenological inquiry, and circles back to his own pre-understandings (noted in Chap.  1) to see how they have been expanded. This chapter also invites university educators from diverse fields to narrate and listen to their own stories of lived experience, allowing them to speak to their own ways of teaching, working and being in higher education.
